To help attain Texas’ renewable energy goals, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) selected eight transmission service providers, including Cross Texas Transmission, to construct, operate and maintain an estimated $4.9 billion in new electric transmission infrastructures that will deliver renewable energy from CREZs to electric customers throughout Texas.

The infrastructures will include over 2,300 miles of high-voltage transmission lines that will allow the system to accommodate 18,456 megawatts of renewable energy.

Cross Texas Transmission is set to construct three transmission line segments anticipated to total more than 200 miles potentially crossing several counties, including: Briscoe, Carson, Cottle, Childress, Collingsworth, Donley, Floyd, Gray, Hall, Motley and Wheeler.
